The Ezz Show

GUESS · LAUGH · WIN

You can play without an account. We never ask for your name or your email, and there is no advertising anywhere in the game. We do count how the game gets played, and this page says exactly what that means.

What we store when you play

Playing is anonymous. Your nickname and avatar are saved in your own browser so you do not have to type them again, and they never leave your device except to be shown to the other people in your room.

  • Nickname and avatar. Stored in your browser, visible to players in your room.
  • A random player ID for your browser, so refreshing mid-game does not cost you your score.
  • Your guesses and chat, relayed live to your room. Nothing is kept once the game ends.
  • Whether sound is muted, which is a local preference.

What we keep after a game

When a game finishes we save one anonymous row: the room code, the settings used, how many rounds were played, and each player's nickname, avatar and score. That is what powers the puzzle statistics, like "only 12% of players solved this one". It is not tied to an account, an email address or an advertising profile.

Cookies

There are no advertising cookies. The analytics below keeps one anonymous id in your browser so a returning visit is not counted twice; it is a random string and it is not linked to anything about you. The admin studio, which is a separate invite-only area for the people who manage puzzles, uses a session cookie to keep those users signed in.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the game is used — how people arrive, whether they get into a game, and where things go wrong. It is the only third party here. There is no ad network and no data broker, and nothing is ever sold or shared for advertising.

  • What it sees: pages visited, buttons pressed, and game milestones like joining a room, starting a game and finishing one.
  • What it never sees: your guesses or your chat. Those are deliberately excluded, not merely unused.
  • It records no video of your session, and it never asks who you are — players stay anonymous to it.
  • If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we do not count you at all.

Children

The game is family-friendly and meant to be safe to play together. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, because for players we do not collect personal information at all.

Your choices

Clearing your browser storage wipes your nickname, avatar, player ID and the anonymous analytics id completely. Turning on Do Not Track in your browser stops the analytics before it starts. If you want a past game result deleted, tell us the room code on the Contact page.
